I feel very privileged and blessed to have known Pat and having had the good fortune of practicing law with him because he was such a gifted attorney and outstanding jurist. He was one of the most compassionate and caring judges I had the honor to work with over the years. His judicial temperament was admired by everyone who had the good fortune to practice in his court. I will miss my fellow Wahoo and our discussions about the fortunes of our teams. My condolences to his family and our prayers are with you. Jerry Franklin

Jerri - When Tony called me and told me about Pat's passing I couldn't believe it. Pat's personality was one of those that you thought the world would never be without. He was a fair and kind man, an excellent lawyer, an extraordinary General District Court judge, and would have made a great Circuit Court judge. I don't have the words to express how sorry I am for your loss.

Judge Patrick was one of the nicest men I have ever known. He treated you like family from the first time you met him. That smile was contagious. My condolences to your family. RIP Pat Patrick.

To the Patrick Clan,

So many people are hurting today, as Kathy and I are. Please accept my sincere condolences for a life cut too short.

I knew Pat for almost 60 years. The accolades pouring in for him are all so wonderful, I could not add anything above what folks have already said. I'll add a story that many of you can relate to.

I was at "Coach Mike's" house with Pat, Mike, and Mike's younger sister Lyn. We were

So sad to hear the news of Pat's unexpected passing. From Thorpe to high school basketball, our paths continued to cross through mutual friends and our children's schools. I admired his bright presence and friendly personality. A totally classy guy. I extend my sympathy to Jerri, his children and all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy. May Pat rest in eternal peace.

Praying for God to be your comforter in this time of great grief.
I remember Pat from the basketball games I attended as a member of the Typhoon class of 1969 of Newport News High School. I had the pleasure of meeting him at his law office and once in his courtroom. Watching him deal with the people coming before the court was amazing, such a kind and fair judge. Hampton has lost a fine man.
