While I only knew James as an aquaintance during some of the EMS symposiums, I saw his interaction with those he knew better. He was a dedicated worker and a friend to so many in EMS. He touched many lives. His untimely death has saddened us all. Condolences to the family and his EMS family and friends. I know they will all miss him.

Jim will truly be missed especially by the EMS community. Since I have been involved with TEMS, Jim has always been there. The knowledge, organization, anticipation and always striving to look at the future of EMS astounded me. Such a personable guy and always in good spirits. My sympathy to you Ramona and the rest of your family. I know this was unexpected and am sure it is difficult to try to understand. Wishing you comfort during this difficult time.

I cannot even wrap my head around this loss for all of us, and we represent just his "extended federal family."

My heart goes out to the family and friends in Jim's life! We will all need to step up to fill these shoes the way he wore his with such grace!
