While I only knew James as an aquaintance during some of the EMS symposiums, I saw his interaction with those he knew better. He was a dedicated worker and a friend to so many in EMS. He touched many lives. His untimely death has saddened us all. Condolences to the family and his EMS family and friends. I know they will all miss him.

Jim will truly be missed especially by the EMS community. Since I have been involved with TEMS, Jim has always been there. The knowledge, organization, anticipation and always striving to look at the future of EMS astounded me. Such a personable guy and always in good spirits. My sympathy to you Ramona and the rest of your family. I know this was unexpected and am sure it is difficult to try to understand. Wishing you comfort during this difficult time.

JIM WAS ALWAYS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND A GREAT PROMOTER OF EMS. HE ENCOURAGED ME TO FINISH MY ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT EDUCATION OVER 10 YEARS AGO AND I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I DID EXACTLY THAT. HE TOLD ME THAT THE GREATEST FEELING IN THIS WORLD WAS KNOWING YOU HELPED SAVED SOMEONE'S LIFE. I WILL MISS HIM DEARLY AND I KNOW WE ALL SHARE THE LOSS OF THIS GREAT MAN TOO.

His smiling face and the friendship that he shared. Remember him when his first office was on the EVMS South Campus and the expansion that has taken place under his leadership. His enjoyment of MRE's on DMAT deployments. Ira & Paula Swartz
