Dalton was born on April 13, 1932 and passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017.

Dalton was a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia at the time of passing.

He graduated from Oceana High School (where he acquired his nickname of Chic), served in the U.S. Coast Guard, where he snagged his dream job of Keeper of the old Wash Woods lifesaving station in NC and attended Old Dominion University, then he worked for many years as a master electrician In Virginia Beach, before retiring from the city of Virginia Beach Public School's maintenance division after many years of dedicated and expert service.

Pastor Frank Jennings will officiate at funeral services there on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park on Great Neck Road in Virginia Beach.

Flowers may be sent to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments on Laskin Road Chapel, or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Dr., Virginia Beach, VA, 23452, or to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
