Harriet Ann Claver, 87, was born on October 30, 1929. She went home to be with "Her Lord" on July 10, 2017 after a very gallant battle with kidney disease.

She is predeceased by her husband, Clifford E. Claver Sr.; her parents, Estelle Schultz and Lawrence William Beller Sr.; aunt, Emily Jane Weirman; uncle, Edward Wierman; brothers, Lawrence W. Beller Jr. and Robert Beller; sisters, Mildred Garner and Helen Barbara Boyter ; niece, Linda Ann Whitfield; nephew, David J. Guidry; her beloved yorkies, Speedy Claver and TC Claver; and "GrandDogs" Gizmo and DeDe.

She is survived by her children, Nancy Elizabeth Wierman, Gary William Miller, Kimberly Ann Hatton and husband Franklin P. Hatton Jr., Clifford Eugene Claver Jr., and Merrilee Susan Ball and husband Benjamin David Ball; brother ,Floyd Otis Beller; sister, Carol Pace; her "little brother," Burnett Pye; grandchildren, Christopher Wierman, Thomas Chris Claver Sr., Franklin Philip Hatton III; great-grandchildren, Franklin Philip Hatton IV, Thomas Chris Claver Jr., Saman Wierman, Zola Wierman, Luca Wierman, and Mila Wierman; grandniece, Lori A. Gelinas and husband William Gelinas;, grandnephew, Robert C. Yates III and wife Ryan Yates; great-grandnephews, Noah Robert Yates and Grayson Ryan Yates; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Timothy Curley, Nephrology Associates, Dominion Dialysis, Dr. Peter Szoke, Cardinal Ambulance, and Whitehurst Manor. To her "favorite nurses" Arlene Volante "MaMa" and Shirley Lewis and the staff of Whitehurst Manor, she would have liked me to extend her warmest appreciation for your devotion to her and our family would like to share our greatest appreciation for your gentle, genuine, love, and care of our Mother during her last years of her gallant battle. Additionally, the family would like to give warm thanks to the entire staff at Sentara Hospice House for the most compassionate and genuine concern and care of our Mother in the last days of her battle.

The family will receive friends from 1: 00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Rosewood Memorial Park in the Chapel of Serenity. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in her honor in hopes that a cure for kidney disease is found.
