Jeanne H. Armiger, 85, of Williamsburg, VA passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10th, 2017.
Jeanne was born in Baltimore, MD to Harry L. Huether and Martha M. Huether on January 1, 1932. She was the first baby born that year and won $15.00. She graduated from Girls Latin School in 1949, and attended Bard Avon Secretarial School.
She married William F. Williamson of Cambridge, MD in 1950. He passed away in 1958, leaving 2 children, Martha and David.
Jeanne was remarried in 1961 to William J. Armiger, Jr. They moved to Princeton, NJ in 1962 and after 30 years, moved to Williamsburg, VA.
Jeanne's interests included needlework, bridge, cooking, reading, and her great love for dogs. She was also an avid Ravens football fan. Above all, she was a grateful and devoted friend of Bill W.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Armiger, Jr. and granddaughter Kristen Orsi.
Jeanne is survived by her brother, H. Douglas Huether (Anne Lee) of Baltimore, MD. She is also survived by 3 daughters and two sons, Kimberly A. Orsi of Tampa, FL, Martha A. Connolly (Stephen) of Crownsville, MD, Tracy A. Beck (Jim, deceased) of Sparks, MD, David A. Armiger (Doreen) of Manville, NJ, and William J. Armiger, III of Englewood, FL, a niece, Cathy McClelland (Mac), and nephew, Richard D. Huether (Mary Ellen). Other survivors include her grandchildren, Caitlin Connolly, Scott A. Connolly, Jennifer Gallagher, Jennifer Armiger, William J. Armiger, IV, Derek Armiger, as well as a host of great nieces and nephews, great grandchildren, and very close friends.
She is also preceded in death by her beloved dogs, Beau, Maggie, and Jesse.
Funeral Services will be held at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold McKeithen, Jr. Reception to follow at the church.
