John was born on August 1, 1929 and passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017.

John was a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia at the time of passing.

John was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served his country from 1949 to 1969, through two wars.

A Liturgy of the Resurrection will celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, at Church of St. Therese, 4137 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake, immediately followed by a reception in the church hall. Following the reception, burial will be in Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Rd., Suffolk.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans Fund, dav.org.
