Maria was born on January 7, 1930 and passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Maria was a resident of Hampton, Virginia at the time of passing.

She was one of four children who spend her early years attending school and helping her family on the farm, which was known as "The Fohlenhof".

Maria also spent time working at the Langley Air Force Base Officer's Club and at Child's Day Learning Center.

A memorial mass celebrating Maria's life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 512 Buckroe Ave, Hampton, Virginia, at a later date.
