She is preceded in death by her husband, John Pettis Wright; sons, Johnny Q. Wright and Shawn J. Wright; father, James C. Williams; mother, Virgie Webb Williams; and brother, James C. Williams, Jr. aka Tank.

Quo Vadis worked as a Concierge and in Hospitality for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Fort Magruder Inn, Howard Johnson, Mama Steve's Pancake House, and Southern Pancake House.

She was a dedicated wife, devoted and loving mother of nine, and friend to all, who enjoyed genealogy, was an avid reader, nature lover and an avid historian of African American History. In the past year, she was able to visit and tour the new African American History Museum in Washington, D.C.

Survivors include sons, Jonathan, Juan (Ruth), John Wayne, Johann, and Johnas; daughters, Johnsie and Johnella (Glen); 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and special daughters-in-law, Carol Anderson Wright, Aliza Wright, and Stephanie Wright.

We, the Wright family, would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the beloved families, friends, co-workers and acquaintances for their unending kindness, friendship and love shown to our dear mother throughout these many years.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, from 5-7pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. The service will be Friday, May 12, at Nelsen Funeral Home beginning at 11am. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nelsenwilliamsburg.com.
